Who are we?
Mid Maine Moms was established as an avenue to meet other moms, develop friendships,
offer support, and to provide our children with an environment in which they
can learn and grow. Some of us are stay-at-home moms; others work full- or part-time
outside the home. Everyone is welcome.
What does the club offer?
- Friendly get-togethers in parks and public places
- Field Trips for mothers and their children
- Family Parties around the holidays or just for fun throughout the year
- Smaller Playgroups with mothers and children from the club
- Moms-Only Activities that include book club, scrap booking, monthly Mom's Night Out, or other special interests
- Service Projects that help needy children in our community
- Sunshine Committee to welcome new members and for others who need assistance
Once I become a member, how do I find out about the activities?
A monthly calendar and newsletter is organized to keep all members up to date
on club news, club events and happenings in the community. The members of the
club and the officers determine all events. We also offer a members-only email
loop. Please contact us to receive a copy of the calendar/newsletter
or to join our email loop.
When am I welcome?
Please feel free to attend any event that is convenient for you. Our club is
very open to new members. Although some of us have lived in the Central Maine
area for years and/or are experienced mothers, many of us are new to the area
and even new to motherhood!
What are the dues?
Our dues are $15.00 per year. Dues pay for craft and party supplies, special
programs, our annual summer family picnic and business supplies (postage, copies,
etc). You may attend any of our events for a one-month free trial period before
becoming a member. We understand that many families have tight family budgets,
so if the dues would be a hardship for your family, please contact
us to let us know.
